megu.sk collects as little data as possible. Without your consent we store no analytics cookies in your browser. Below you will find exactly what we process, why, and how to change it at any time.

The controller is Megu, a software company based in Košice, Slovakia. For anything related to personal data, write to it@megu.sk or call +421 911 128 161, Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 18:00 CET.

We process personal data only to the extent we need to run the website and answer your enquiry. We do not sell it and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling with legal effect.

During an ordinary visit we process the technical data your browser sends: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the time of access. The hosting server records them, they serve operation and security, and we do not link them to a specific person.

  • Traffic measurement through Google Analytics 4 — only if you allowed it in the consent bar.
  • The content of your message when you write or call us: name, e-mail, phone number and the enquiry itself.
  • Technical hosting logs about access to the site.
  • The choice you made in the consent bar — stored in your browser only.

The site itself sets no cookies. Until you allow measurement in the bar, Google Analytics uses no cookies and no device identifiers, and any signals are sent without them (Consent Mode v2). Once you consent, these files are set:

  • You can withdraw consent at any time with the “Privacy settings” button in the footer.
  • You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings.

Traffic measurement through Google Analytics is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is voluntary and the site works the same without it.

Running, securing and protecting the website from abuse rests on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. When you contact us with an enquiry, we process the data for pre-contractual steps and possible performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We share data only with providers who run the website and the measurement for us. They are bound by a data processing agreement and act only on our instructions.

  • Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics 4 (traffic measurement after your consent).
  • Our hosting provider, whose servers run the site and keep the technical logs.
  • Our e-mail provider, through which we communicate with you.

Google may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on standard contractual clauses. Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address, and we do not work with directly identifying data in it.

Data in Google Analytics is kept for a maximum of 14 months. Technical hosting logs are kept for a few months according to the provider's settings. E-mail correspondence is kept while the enquiry or engagement lasts, and afterwards for the period required by law.

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification and erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent to measurement at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

  • Write to it@megu.sk — we reply within 30 days, usually within 24 hours.
  • If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava.

If the way the site measures traffic or processes data changes, we update this document and change the date shown at the top. We recommend reviewing it on your next visit.
